Overview
Members are appointed by the City Council. The duties of the Community Trails Committee is to work with the Community Development Director and recommend priorities for public trail development, improvements, and maintenance for budget consideration and grant funding. The Community Trails Committee encourages citizen involvement in the use, development, and maintenance of all trails and is instrumental in promoting the City's "Adopt a Trails Program." The Community Trails Committee receives input from the members of the public about public trail-related matters. The Community Trails Committee meets at least once per year on the second Thursday of February to select a Chair and Vice-Chair of the Committee, and the time manner, and location of meetings thereafter will be on an as-needed basis or determined by the Community Development Director.
